University Of Chicago Ranked Sixth On U.S. News Top Universities List
Criteria includes academic quality, student-faculty ratios, graduation rates, faculty resources and the range of undergraduate majors.
University of Chicago was ranked the top university in Illinois, according to a new U.S. News analysis that rated the school sixth in the nation.
The 2021 list is the product of the U.S. News & World Report’s assessment of universities that offer undergraduate majors as well as master’s and doctoral degree programs. The analysis examined institutions of higher learning based on a variety of criteria, including academic quality, student-faculty ratios, graduation rates, faculty resources and the range of undergraduate majors.

The Chicago school charges $59,298 in tuition and fees for all students, and its enrollment came in at 6,734, according to the publication’s 2021 ranking.
