Storm Chances Follow Warmer Temps And Dry Weather For Chicago Area
Chances for rain and storms begin Wednesday night, and continue into Thursday and Friday.
ILLINOIS — More seasonable, warm temperatures will return this week as more students head back to school. After a few days of cooler, pleasant temperatures, highs will return to the mid-80s this week.
According to the National Weather Service, dry conditions are expected through Wednesday, but shower and storm chances will then start to increase on Thursday.
Monday will have a high of 80, Tuesday a high of 84, Wednesday a high of 86, Thursday a high of 81 and Friday a high of 82.

If you want to give your air conditioning a break, you'll get a chance to do so during the nights this week. Temperatures in the evenings will be between mid-50s and 60s, giving a chance to open windows and let fresh air in.
Chances of rain and storms begins Wednesday night, and continues into Thursday and Friday, according to the weather service forecast. Currently, there is a higher chance of rain and storms on Thursday (60 to 80 percent chance), than on Friday (30 to 50 percent chance).
