Wednesday Storms Could Bring Damaging Winds, Hail To Chicago Area
Most of the Chicago area is under a "level 2" severe weather threat, according to the weather service.
ILLINOIS — Scattered thunderstorms can be expected Wednesday, and some storms could be strong to severe, according to the National Weather Service Chicago.
Non-severe storms are possible Wednesday morning, and then strong or severe storms could hit the area Wednesday afternoon and evening.
The weather service said the storms could bring damaging winds capable of downing tree limbs and damaging hail capable of denting cars and siding.

Temps will turn colder Wednesday night, and the rain will then transition to wet snow, continuing into early Thursday, the weather service said.

"Quieter weather sets up for the later part of the week," the weather service said on its Facebook.
Tuesday will have a high of 76, Wednesday a high of 68, Thursday a high of 45 and Friday a high of 60.
