Naperville Woman Dies, Friend Hurt After Being Pushed Off German Slope

The two recent college grads were hiking near a German castle when they were approached by a fellow American traveler, who police say assaulted both women. German police are asking witnesses to come forward and to share photos or videos taken near the scene.

Noah Enos Missing After Concert At The Salt Shed In Chicago

Noah Enos did not contact friends or family following a June 12 concert at The Salt Shed, but his girlfriend said surveillance video showed him leaving the music venue and walking north. Through police say Enos suffers from "depression and anxiety," his girlfriend said his disappearance is out of character. On Saturday, a body pulled from the Chicago River near the Salt Shed was confirmed to be Enos.

When she was caught on camera losing her footing — and her pants — while running on a treadmill, the Illinois woman decided to share the video herself: "I wanted to make the world laugh," she told Patch. "Everyone’s just so down and people don’t look at the brighter side of things."

'A Cat Like No Other': Residents Mourn Town's 'Adventure Cat' Novi

A local family's orange barn cat essentially became a small town's mascot, trotting around on adventures and making social calls. Now tributes are pouring in for the well-known feline: "Had the privilege of meeting him and sharing snacks on the front seat of my car!" one fan wrote, who another lamented, "There will never be another Novi. He was so special to us."

Police said the two became involved in a brief struggle before he threatened to harm her and forced her into an SUV that was parked in a nearby lot.
