1 In Custody After Man Stabbed In Face At Bar In McHenry Co.: Police
The stabbing happened at Front Street Tap early Friday in Harvard
HARVARD, IL — One man was stabbed in the face after a fight broke out at a bar in Harvard early Friday, authorities said.
Police were called to Front Street Tap, 106 East Front Street in Harvard, for a report of a fight at about 12:11 a.m. Friday, according to a news release from the Harvard Police Department.
When police arrived, they found two men who were still fighting. A 36-year-old man had severe lacerations to his face and a 35-year-old man had superficial facial injuries, police said.

Both men were transported to area hospitals where they were treated and released.
Police later took Michael A. Schallmosser, 35, of Poplar Grove, into custody in connection with the stabbing. He has been charged with aggravated battery, aggravated battery in a public place, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated battery with great bodily harm.

Schallmosser has been transported to the McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing.
