Semi Car Haulers, Several Vehicles Start On Fire: Fire Officials

The blaze happened Friday in East Dundee.

EAST DUNDEE, IL — No one was injured when three semi car haulers started on fire in a parking lot in East Dundee on Friday.

The East Dundee Fire District responded to the blaze at 590 Healy Road in East Dundee and found the three semis, as well as several cars on the semis' trailers, on fire, according to a news release from the fire district. The blaze was brought under control within 40 minutes.

No one was reportedly injured in the fire, which caused and estimated $400,000 in damages.

Fire officials believe a mechanical failure in a running semi, which had been left unattended, led to the blaze.
