1 Injured After Car Hits Ambulance With Mom, 3-Year-Old Boy Inside
A 39-year-old mother sustained minor injuries after a car collided with the ambulance Sunday evening in Barrington.
BARRINGTON, IL — A 39-year-old mother sustained minor injuries after a car collided with the ambulance her and her 3-year-old son were riding in Sunday evening in Barrington.
The ambulance was en route to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington when the driver of a 2012 Mazda 3 says he did not see the vehicle, which had its lights and sirens activated and was traveling through a red light at Northwest Highway and Hough Street, the Daily Herald is reporting. The car, which was headed southeast on Northwest Highway at the time, hit the ambulance, which was southbound on Hough, on the passenger side.
