1 Injured In Algonquin House Fire
The blaze broke out Tuesday night at a home in the 900 block of Zange Drive.
ALGONQUIN, IL — One person was injured in a house fire Tuesday night in Algonquin.
The Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District was called to the blaze at a single-family home in the 900 block of Zange Drive at about 11:35 p.m. Tuesday, according to a news release from the fire protection district.
When fire crews arrived at the scene they found a two-story home with fire showing from the second floor windows. Everyone was able to safely get out of the home before firefighters arrived, according to the news release.

The blaze was found on the second floor in a bathroom and hallway, and firefighters were able to get in under control within 15 minutes.
One of the residents of the home was treated and transported to a local hospital f0r treatment of minor burns, according to a news release.

The home is uninhabitable due to fire and smoke damage, and the cause of the blaze remains under investigation. A damage estimate is not currently available.
