1 Seriously Injured In Longmeadow Parkway Crash

ALGONQUIN, IL — A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision on Longmeadow Parkway early Tuesday, authorities said.

The crash happened at about 3:40 a.m. when a white sedan heading west on Longmeadow Parkway, and attempting to turn south onto Sleepy Hollow Road, hit a motorcycle, which was headed east on Longmeadow Parkway at the time, according to a news release from the Algonquin Police Department.

The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was taken. to the hospital, police said. The driver of the sedan was not injured.

Longmeadow Parkway and Sleepy Hollow Road remained closed at this time of the investigation.

The Algonquin Police Department is actively investigating the incident with assistance from the
