No Arrests, Charges After Boy Shot Over The Weekend: Police

Police interviewed several juveniles who were in the area at the time of the shooting Saturday evening, police said.

CARPENTERSVILLE, IL — A juvenile was shot in an incident in Carpentersville on Saturday evening.

The Carpentersville Police Department responded to the shooting at about 6 p.m. in the area of Wren and Robin roads. A boy sustained injuries to his leg that are not considered life-threatening in the shooting, according to a news release from the village of Carpentersville Public Safety Department.

Authorities found several juveniles in the area of the shooting and interviewed them.

The cause of the shooting remains under investigation, and no arrests or charges have been made in connection with the incident
