19-Year-Old Woodstock High Schooler Stabbed in Groin
A teen defending himself at his home stabbed his attacker, police said. The incident was prompted by an after-school fight.

An after-school fight in Woodstock led to a stabbing Friday afternoon, according to the Woodstock police, in which a teen defending himself in his yard in the 200 block of South Madison Street stabbed a 19-year-old man in the groin. The stabbed man was airlifted to Advocate Condell Hospital in Libertyville, where he is in critical condition.
Police said the teen and the man were not involved in the initial after-school fight, but this incident was a byproduct of the initial confrontation. All of the teens involved are students in Woodstock District 200.
Police continue to investigate.
