3 Injured —​ 2 Seriously —​ In Algonquin Crash

The collision happened at West Algonquin and Square Barn roads at about 2:50 p.m. Wednesday.

ALGONQUIN, IL — Three people were injured in a three-vehicle, rollover crash Wednesday afternoon in Algonquin, authorities said.

The Huntley Fire Protection District responded to the crash at West Algonquin and Square Barn roads at about 2:50 p.m. Wednesday. Two people inside a vehicle that rolled over were trapped inside and needed to be extricated.

In total, three ambulances were called to the scene to transport those who'd been injured in the crash to area hospitals, according to a news release. Two of the three patients were seriously injured.

Eastbound Algonquin Road and both directions of Square Barn Road were closed for nearly an hour following the crash. Meanwhile, the cause of the collision is being investigation by the Algonquin Police Department.
