Algonquin Hosts Conservation Community Day at Woods Creek Path

Event aims to educate residents about the environment, local natural resources and the benefit of local food sources.

The village of Algonquin is hosting Conservation Community Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Woods Creek Path.

Residents are encouraged to attend this free event, which aims to educate and inform people about the environment, teach how natural resources are being protected in the community and explain what residents can do to conserve resources and protect the surrounding environment, according to the village of Algonquin.

This year's theme focuses on local foods and the positive impact local food has on the environment and people's health, according to the village.
