Algonquin Man Gets Prison Time In Child Porn Case

Jacob Baker, of the 1300 block of Greenridge Avenue in Algonquin, has been sentenced to eight years in prison.

ALGONQUIN, IL — A 23-year-old Algonquin man has been sentenced to prison time for illegally possessing child pornography.

Jacob Baker, of the 1300 block of Greenridge Avenue in Algonquin, to serve eight years in prison after he pleaded guilty to child pornography - dissemination, which is a felony charge, according to a news release from the Kane County State's Attorney's Office.

Authorities say that between March 7 and March 30, 2024, Baker used his computer to upload and share a video that show a female child, who Baker knew was under the age of 13 years old, engage in an act of sexual conduct.

In addition to the prison term, Baker must register for life as a sexual offender.
