Algonquin Man Gets Probation For Guilty Plea In Overdose Death

ALGONQUIN, IL — An Algonquin man pleaded guilty Friday to one count of delivery of a controlled substance in exchange for probation in connection with his girlfriend's June overdose death, according to Northwest Herald. Gregory B. Galluzzo, 59, from the 100 block of Jefferson Street, was sentenced to two years of probation, is prohibited from consuming alcohol, drugs or marijuana, and must submit to random drug testing, McHenry County Judge Robert Wilbrandt said, according to the news source. Galluzzo was arrested on Sept. 13 on accusations of delivering cocaine to Barbara Duelfer on June 15, and possession of more than one gram of cocaine on the day of his arrest.

According to court records, Galluzzo was released from jail Friday.
