Algonquin Outstanding at Budgeting: Report

ALGONQUIN, IL — The Village of Algonquin has been lauded for its exceptional accounting practices for the 13th year in a row, the Northwest Herald has reported.

"The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) announced that the Village of Algonquin has received the GFOA’s Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for its Fiscal Year 2016-2017 budget.," the paper reported. "Algonquin officials said the village also received a special performance measures recognition for illustrating a clear link of operational data to financial decision making."
