Technology has become the focal point of a majority of individuals lives. We’ve become addicted. We wake up and check our smartphones, stare at a computer screen all day at work, come home to watch our smart television and end the day staring into the bright light of our tiny handheld phones before we fall asleep. These devices are taking over our lives, whether we realize it or not.
The Mobile Mindset study done by the security app Lookout concluded that 58 percent of smartphone owners in the U.S. check their phones at least once every hour. Yes, it’s important to keep your phone on hand for emergencies but something like checking your social media accounts every hour is a little extensive.

No matter the age this obsession is getting out of hand. Believe it or not, it’s not only the younger generation that is relying on technology for most of their everyday tasks, it’s everyone.
