Car Crashes Through Garage Door In Huntley

HUNTLEY, IL — No one was injured when a car crashed through a garage door at a home in Huntley Wednesday evening.

The collision happened in the 14000 block of Helena Road in Huntley at about 6 p.m. Firefighters arrived within minutes of learning about the crash and found a vehicle that had driven through a residential garage door and struck the exterior garage wall, causing significant structural damage.

The driver, a woman, had gotten out of her car prior to the arrival of emergency crews. She was transported to Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital with minor injuries.

The village of Huntley Development Services Department was notified and responded to assess the structural integrity of the building.

The crash is under investigation by the Huntley Police Department.
