MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announced Thursday Daniel L. Forcucci, 48, of Carpentersville, pleaded guilty before McHenry County Judge Robert Wilbrandt to possession of over 5,000 grams of cannabis with intent to deliver, a Class X Felony, according to a release from the McHenry County State's Attorney's Office. Forcucci's sentencing stems from an investigation by members of the Carpentersville Police Department, who executed a search warrant June 22, 2016 on a storage unit rented by Forcucci in Algonquin, according to a release.

Officers found 82 pounds (over 37,000 grams) of cannabis and over $190,000 in the storage unit before finding another 4,500 grams of cannabis and $1,000 when they made contact with Forcucci at his home, officials said.

The state's attorney's office said Forcucci was sentenced to seven years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. The case was prosecuted by Robert Ladd of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office, according to a release.
