Chicago Cubs Opening Day: Fan Photos, 'Ivy Man' from Crystal Lake

Baseball fans flocked to Wrigley field on Monday for the Cubs' home opener against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Opening day for the Chicago Cubs was full of interesting characters - as expected - including "Cubs Ivy Man."

Cubs Ivy Man is the creation of Ward Tannhauser of Crystal Lake.

Standing eight feet tall with an arm span of 13-feet wide, Cubs Ivy Man is a walking replica of the ivy-covered walls from Wrigley Field. He is so popular with Cubs fans that he has become a fixture at Chicago Cubs Opening Day celebrations, games, parades, fundraisers and other events.

You may even spot Tannhauser zipping around Crystal Lake - in or out of costume - in a small black car with 'Ivy Man" license plates.

More photographs and information about what Ivy Man has been up to lately can found on the Ivy Man Facebook page.
