Information on food pantries across McHenry County, including hours and requirements, according to county officials:
MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — The McHenry County State's Attorney's office is sharing information on food pantries located throughout the county and McHenry County Department of Health Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program, assisting families in need during the coronavirus pandemic. According to the state's attorney's office, the McHenry County Department of Health is actively enrolling new families who qualify for the WIC program, which helps families facing food scarcity during uncertain economic times by providing healthy foods for free.
WIC is an equal opportunity provider available to qualifying pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women and their children through age 5.
To learn if you qualify or schedule to schedule a telephone appointment, please call 815-344-4505. Appointments are conducted by phone, followed by WIC coupons being dispersed at a drive through location set up at the Woodstock location at 2200 N. Seminary Avenue, Building A, according to county officials.

- Woodstock Food Pantry: 1033 Lake Avenue; 815-337-0375; you may arrange to pick up food for members who have already registered there (registration required). They only allow one person in at a time, and you can get food once a month. Pick up hours are during regular hours — 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
- Crystal Lake Food Pantry: 42 East St.; 815-455-0961. The food pantry will bring you a prepackaged box (no special requests) that you can pick up for a member if they are already registered there (have their name, address, and pantry ID number). Hours: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday.
- Spring Grove Helping Hands Food Pantry: 2502 Spring Ridge Drive, Suite B in Spring Grove; 815-245-7345; they will load a box of items into your car. You can get food at this location for members the first time without a proxy form filled out, but the next time you need them to sign the form and bring it back with you to get the next boxes of food.

FISH in McHenry is still operating and just giving a prepackaged box delivered to the car as well, the state's attorney's office said.
