Crystal Lake Business Fined for Liquor Violation

15 businesses passed the compliance check, including 4 that had previously failed.

One Crystal Lake businesses received a citation last week for selling alcohol to minors after a series of compliance checks by Illinois Liquor Control Commission (ILCC), in conjunction with the Secretary of State Police District 2 police.

The sweep of 16 businesses was done on Feb. 20.

The following businesses failed its compliance checks:

  • Crystal Lake Rib House, 540 Terra Cotta Ave.

The remaining 15 businesses got some kudos for refusing to sell liquor to underage customers. The businesses that passed include four businesses that had previously failed compliance checks. Here’s who passed the checks:

  • Labemi’s, 109 N. Main St.
  • Crystal Lake Brewing, 150 N. Main St.
  • Williams Street Tap, 80 N. Williams St. (Prior Offender)
  • Teddy’s Liquors, 11 Northwest Hwy.
  • Gas Depot, 4410 Northwest Hwy.
  • Open Food Pantry, 4811 Northwest Hwy.
  • Chipotle Mexican Grill, 5006 Northwest Hwy. (Prior Offender)
  • Chili’s Bar & Grill, 5620 Northwest Hwy. (Prior Offender)
  • Joseph’s Market, 29 Crystal Lake Plaza
  • Las Cazuelitas, 21 Crystal Lake Plaza
  • Midwest Petroleum, 7615 Rt 176
  • Oak Street Food & Liquor, 256 Oak Street
  • Crystal Lake Food & Liquor, 540 Terra Cotta Ave.
  • 7-Eleven, 60 Terra Cotta (Prior Offender)
  • Pablo’s Mexican Restaurant, 230 Virginia St.
