Crystal Lake Fire Causes $50,000 Damage

Fire was contained to the second floor of a home in the 4600 block of Terra Cotta Road.

No one was injured in a fire Monday morning in a home in the 4600 block of Terra Cotta Road. When firefighters arrived on scene just before 9:30 a.m., heavy fire was coming from the second floor window, a written release stated. The fire was contained to the second floor and was extinguished by 9:55 a.m.

Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department was assisted by nine departments, including Algonquin, Cary and Carpentersville.

The fire is under investigation by Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department.
