Wife of fallen McHenry County Sheriff's Deputy Keltner threw out the first pitch during the May 4 game at Wrigley Field, report said.

CHICAGO, IL — The family of late McHenry County Sheriff's Department Deputy Jacob Keltner celebrated what would have been his birthday on Saturday, May 4 at Wrigley Field. Republican Illinois State Rep. David McSweeney, Barrington Hills, announced Saturday on Twitter he was honored to be at the Cubs game with Keltner's wife Becki, in addition to Jacob and Becki's two young sons. According to Northwest Herald, McSweeney said he reached out to the Cubs so Keltner's family could celebrate him that day.
Becki threw out the first pitch before the Cubs game against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Deputy Keltner was 35 years old when he was killed Thursday, March 7 after he was shot and hit outside the hotel while attempting to serve an arrest warrant with the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force at the Extended Stay America on North Bell School Road. Floyd E. Brown, 39, was indicted back in March by a federal grand jury on charges of killing an officer of a federal agency engaged in official duties. The U.S. Attorney's Office, Northern District of Illinois, Western Division, authorized attempted murder charges against Brown. Officials said the possibility of the death penalty has not been ruled out due to the severity of the federal charges.
A few days after his death, Deputy Keltner's wife shared a heart-wrenching letter as she recalled her husband fondly as not just "another statistic" but as a caring father, devoted cop and doting husband who surprised her with the "best gifts, nights out and heartfelt notes."
