Fire Damages Algonquin Townhome On Thanksgiving
The blaze was found in the kitchen area of the townhome.
ALGONQUIN, IL — A townhome is uninhabitable following a Thanksgiving Day fire in Algonquin.
The Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District was called to the blaze at 16 Cedar Grove Court at about noon on Thursday where they found heavy smoke coming from the second floor of the two-story townhome, according to a news release from the fire protection district. The fire was found in the kitchen area of the townhome.
The blaze caused damage to a neighboring townhome and damage estimates are not currently available, fire officials said. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
