Firefighters Rescue 3 Pets From Lake In The Hills Fire
The Huntley Fire Protection District responded to the blaze in the 300 block of Stickley Lane at about 6:20 p.m. Tuesday.

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — Firefighters rescued three pets from a house fire in Lake in the Hills Tuesday evening.
The Huntley Fire Protection District responded to the blaze in the 300 block of Stickley Lane at about 6:20 p.m. Tuesday, according to a news release from the fire protection district. All residents living inside the home were able to get out safely, but one dog and two cats remained inside.
When fire crews arrived at the scene, they found heavy black smoke coming from the two-story home, according to the news release. The fire was quickly extinguished and firefighters were able to get all the pets out of the home.

The home sustained heavy damage inside and is considered uninhabitable until repairs can be made.
Two residents have been displaced, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
