Firefighters Respond To Explosions, RV Fire
The Marengo Fire & Rescue District responded to Lehman's Lakeside RV Resort, 19609 Harmony Road in Marengo, at about 8:50 p.m. Wednesday.
MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — No one was injured when an RV caught on fire in McHenry County Wednesday night.
The Marengo Fire & Rescue District responded to Lehman's Lakeside RV Resort, 19609 Harmony Road in Marengo, at about 8:50 p.m. Wednesday and found a 36-foot RV fully engulfed in flames, according to a news release from the fire & rescue district. Several propane tanks exploded as firefighters battled the blaze but the explosions did not cause any secondary fires.
Firefighters were able to keep the fire under control and prevent it from spreading to nearby vehicles, according to the news release.

Two residents of the RV and their dog were able to safely escape before firefighters arrived and did not sustain any injuries, fire officials said.
The fire was fully extinguished within 30 minutes, and the RV is being considered a total loss. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Marengo Fire & Rescue District.
