1 Injured In McHenry County House Fire
The blaze broke out at about 5:20 a.m. on Monday at the home in the 300 block of River Road in unincorporated McHenry County.
MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — A home is uninhabitable and one resident was injured following a fire in McHenry County early Monday.
The blaze broke out at about 5:20 a.m. on Monday at the home in the 300 block of River Road in unincorporated McHenry County, according to a news release from the McHenry Township Fire Protection District.
When fire crews arrived, they found a blaze coming from the back of the home and extending into the attic and through the roof. Firefighters searched the home and did not find anyone inside since all residents were able to evacuated before the fire department arrived, according to a news release.

The fire caused extensive damage to the home and was deemed uninhabitable. One person was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
No one else was injured in the blaze and there were working smoke detectors inside the home.
