Parents and kids were busy building crafts at the Home Depot area Sunday morning at the Algonquin Founders' Days festival.
Today is the final day of the 53rd annual event, which is being held for the first time at Algonquin Lakes Park adjacent to Algonquin Lakes School, 1401 Compton Dr.
Despite the cooler weather, attendance has been good for the fest, organizers said. The new location has drawn many visitors from the surrounding neighborhoods.
The festival culminates tonight with a fireworks show at Riverfront Park in Algonquin.
