Lake In The Hills Cops Cite 16 For Speeding Over Holiday Weekend
Lake in the Hills Police Department announced the results of the recent St. Patrick's Day patrols.
LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL —The Lake in the Hills Police Department announced Thursday the results of the March 14 through 18 St. Patrick’s Day "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" enforcement campaign, during which the department conducted extra patrols in an effort to keep alcohol and drug impaired drivers off the roads. The department said officers worked an extra 29.5 hours of enforcement, resulting in the following number of arrests or citations:
- Felony DUI Arrests: (1)
- Distracted driving citations: (1)
- Uninsured motorists citations: (2)
- Speeding violations citations: (16)
- Possession of a controlled substance: (1)
The department said it was pleased to report that proper seat belt safety was observed by those conducting the patrols.
