Lake In The Hills Man Thrown From Motorcycle, Charged With DUI: Police
Austin Lehr faces charges after police said he crossed the center line on Route 176 and struck another vehicle, throwing him from the bike.
LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — A 24-year-old Lake In The Hills man faces drunk driving charges after police said he was thrown from his motorcycle after it crossed the center line and struck another vehicle on Sunday, Crystal Lake Police said.
Austin Lehr has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following the crash, which took place just before 8 p.m., police said. Police said that Lehr was traveling west on Route 176 just west of Route 14 when his motorcycle crossed into the eastbound lane and struck another vehicle.
Police said the motorcycle struck the side of the vehicle, which caused Lehr to be thrown from the motorcycle. Lehr was taken to a local hospital for treatment. No one in the other vehicle was injured, police said.

A portion of Route 176 was closed while emergency crews worked to clear the scene of the crash.
