LITH Police Issue More Than 100 Tickets During Traffic Detail

The Lake in the Hills Police Department worked with other law enforcement agencies across the state as part of the detail.

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — The results are in from a recent child passenger safety enforcement campaign in Lake in the Hills.

The Lake in the Hills Police Department collaborated with other law enforcement agencies and highway safety partners across the state for the Illinois Child Passenger Safety Week campaign. During the campaign, the local police department cited 104 drivers for speeding.

  • 7 for seatbelt violations
  • 7 for operating a motor vehicle while using a communication device
  • 2 for expired registration
  • 1 for improper lane usage
  • 1 for driver license's classification violation
  • 1 for failure to signal
  • 5 operating an uninsured motor vehicle
  • 2 for expired registration
  • 1 improper lane usage
  • 1 for driver license classification violation
  • 1 for failure to signal
  • 5 for operating an uninsured motor vehicle
  • 1 for obstructed front windshield
  • 1 for disobeying a stop sign
  • 1 was arrested on a warrant for violation of pretrial release conditions

The Child Passenger Safety Week campaign was funded by federal traffic safety funds from NHTSA and administered by IDOT.
