Local Business Owner Dies After Being Hit By 3 Cars: Authorities
Thomas Yucuis, 69, of the 600 block of Wilmette in East Dundee, died after being hit by three vehicles early Monday.
KANE COUNTY, IL — The owner of Butcher on the Block in Lake in the Hills was killed after being hit by three vehicles on Route 31 near Miller Road in Dundee Township early Monday.
Thomas Yucuis, 69, of the 600 block of Wilmette in East Dundee, was walking in the southbound lanes of traffic, wearing all dark clothing, at about 6 a.m. when he was hit by a Chevrolet Cruze, a black Acura sedan and a grey Cadillac sedan, according to a news release from the Kane County Sheriff's Office.
All three vehicles were headed south on Route 31 at the time of the crash, police said. All drivers stopped to render aid and are cooperating with police regarding their investigation.

No citations have been issued, and the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
