Local Missing Woman Found Safe in Iowa

HUNTLEY, IL — A woman who was reported missing from Huntley's Sun City neighborhood has been located.

Selvia Ferguson, 86, was first reported missing on Sunday, authorities said. Police were notified by Ferguson's family that she was missing from her house in the 12200 block of Quail Ridge Drive.

She had a medical condition that placed her at danger, police said.

On Monday, police said Ferguson was spotted in Manchester, Iowa. Later in the day, local police announced she'd been located and is safe.

She was with local law enforcement in Iowa as she awaited the arrival of her family, according to an update on the Huntley Police Department Facebook page.
