Male Body Found Off Bike Trail In McHenry County: Police
The body was found during a missing person investigation, police said.
MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday on a body found Tuesday morning in a wooded area of unincorporated Ringwood Township, the McHenry County Sheriff's Office said, in a release. The McHenry County Sheriff's Office was called to the wooded area south of Barnard Mill Road Tuesday to help the McHenry Police Department with a missing person investigation.
A search of the area led to authorities finding a deceased male just off the Prairie Trail bike path, the release said.
According to the sheriff's office, the location the body was determined during an ongoing investigation by the police department and sheriff's office. The McHenry Township Fire Protection District helped Tuesday, and the McHenry County Coroner's Office is also helping with the investigation, according to the release.

This news comes in the wake of an ongoing search for a Hebron man who police said was reported missing over the weekend.
