Man, 29, Killed In I-90 Collision Identified: Police

The collision happened near the westbound Route 31 off-ramp late Friday night.

ELGIN, IL — A 29-year-old Carpentersville man is dead after he crashed his BMW into a concrete sewer wall on Interstate 90 south of West Dundee late Friday night, authorities said.

Illinois State Police say the single-vehicle collision happened near the westbound Route 31 off-ramp at about 10:30 p.m., according to the Daily Herald. The driver, who was later identified as Azizbek Akhmedov, was taken to Advocate Luther General Medical Center in Park Ridge where he later died.
