Mark Your Calendar: Easter Egg Hunt In Algonquin Set For April

The annual egg hunt will be held at Algonquin Lakes Park on April 12.

ALGONQUIN, IL — This year's Easter Egg hunt in Algonquin will be held at Algonquin Lakes Park on April 12.

The annual egg hunt is meant for younger children and will run from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the park at 700 Lake Plumleigh Way. Those stopping out will also get the chance to visit with the Easter Bunny before and after the egg hunt, according to a news release from the village of Algonquin.

Families stopping out to the egg hunt are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy in Easter-related activities and to get photos with the bunny, according to a news release. Photos start at 9:30 a.m.

The egg hunt starts promptly at 10 a.m. and will be divided into age groups: 0 to 2 years old, 3 to 5 years old and 6 years old and older. Village officials encourage those stopping out to the egg hunt to make sure they are in their designated area before the hunt starts.
