FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that on February 1, 2022, Tavares L. Fowler, 27, of Elgin, Illinois, was sentenced to six years in the Illinois Department of Corrections by Honorable Judge Robert Wilbrandt after pleading guilty to Residential Burglary, a Class 1 Felony.

On January 20, 2021, Fowler drove another man, and two teenagers, to a home in Lake in the Hills with the intent to burglarize the home. Fowler knew the resident of the home and knew that valuable items were in the home. At Fowler’s direction, the two juveniles entered the home, while the resident was home, and stole a computer.

This case was investigated by the Lake in the Hills Police Department. This case was prosecuted by Brian Miller of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.
