McHenry Man Sentenced In Fatal Drug Delivery Case
The McHenry man was sentenced less than a year after delivering alprazolam to a woman, resulting in her death.

MCHENRY, IL — McHenry County State's Attorney Patrick D. Kenneally announced Friday morning the sentencing of a McHenry man charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance to a woman who ended up dying. Kenneally said 22-year-old Jacob N. Reis was sentenced to four years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for the unlawful delivery of alprazolam, which is sold under the Xanax brand name.
According to a release from the Office of the State's Attorney, Reis delivered alprazolam to Rachel Ramirez on May 14, 2018, which caused her death.
This case was investigated by members of the Cary Police Department, and was prosecuted by Robert Ladd of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office, the Office of the State's Attorney reported.
