This Algonquin Restaurant Is Where Moms Want To Go On Mother's Day: Survey

ALGONQUIN, IL — An Algonquin restaurant has been picked among Chicago-area mothers as one of the best places to enjoy Mother's Day, according to a recent survey.

Mixbook, a photobook agency, surveyed more than 3,100 mothers to find out what are "the most coveted local Mother's Day restaurants" in the Chicago area. Coming in at No. 2 was Montarra in Algonquin.

“Mother’s Day is about more than just gifts - it’s about connection,” said a spokesperson for Mixbook. “We wanted to find out where moms truly want to spend quality time with their loved ones, and these restaurants reflect that mix of heart, setting, and unforgettable food. It’s about creating memories - one meal at a time.”

The local restaurant at 1491 S. Randall Road serves up steaks and seafood and has an international wine program offering more than 50 different wines available by the glass, according to the Mixbook press release.

The restaurant will have special hours this Mother's Day and will be open from 2 to 7 p.m., according to Montarra's Facebook page. Reservations can be made here.

Other restaurants to make Mixbook's list include: The Allis in Chicago, coming in at No. 1 on the list; and Balmoral in St. Charles, which was ranked No. 3 on the list.
