Ribbon Cutting Ceremony To Mark Longmeadow Parkway Completion

KANE COUNTY, IL — A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held Thursday morning to mark the completion of a long-awaited road project in Kane County.
The ribbon cutting ceremony for the Longmeadow Parkway bridge corridor project will be held at 11:30 a.m. on the Longmeadow Parkway bridge over the Fox River near Carpentersville, according to a news release from Kane County.
County officials say the completion of the road project is "a significant milestone in the development of Kane County's infrastructure, enhancing connectivity, improving transportation efficiency and fostering economic growth," according to a news release from Kane County.

The bridge will open to the public "sometime after the event, but the exact date and time have yet to be determined," according to county officials.
