Teen Airlifted After McHenry County Crash

Two people were injured in the two-car crash on Sunday.

Two people were injured Sunday afternoon when two cars collided on Menge and Dunham roads at 3:35 p.m.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office reported that A Dodge Grand Caravan minivan was northbound on Menge Road when the driver blew through a stop sign and hit a Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck heading west on Dunham Road, the SunTimes reported.

“The crash sent the vehicles off the roadway, where the Dodge struck several trees and rolled onto its right side,” the SunTimes said. “The driver of the Dodge, a 37-year-old Harvard man, was taken to Centegra Hospital in Woodstock.

“A 17-year-old Wauconda boy driving the Chevrolet was flown to Rockford Memorial Hospital. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.”

The crash occurred in Hartland Township.

McHenry County Sheriff’s Police are investigating the crash. No citations have been issued.
