Join us to experience the natural beauty and charm of the hills that surround the four lakes within the eastern portion of the Village. The race will take participants through one of the McHenry County Scenic Roads, challenging hills surrounded by beautiful forested neighborhoods, views of the lakes, and iconic parks such as Turtle Island and Indian Trail Beach. This year marks the 70th incorporation anniversary of the Village of Lake in the Hills. We'll celebrate the milestone at the race and throughout the year!
The cutoff date for online registration is Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. or when race registration has reached a total of 400 5K Run/Walk entries, 30 Kid’s Dash entries, or 30 1-Mile Dog Walk entries.
All participants under the age of 18 years must have a parent register them. The participant pays processing fees in addition to the registration fees listed below:
- 5K Run/Walk: $35 until April 1st ($45) per person
- Bark in the Hills 1-Mile Dog Walk: $20 until April 1st ($30) | 1 dog & 1 adult companion
- Hop ‘n Trot Kid’s 100 Yard Dash: $15 until April 1st ($20) per person
Provided the event does not sell out, we will accept online registration through packet pickup hours. However, swag bags, shirts, and sizes are not guaranteed for late registrants. You must register before April 1, 2022 to be guaranteed these items. We will order extras, but they will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
