Wonder Lake Man Guilty Of Criminal Sexual Assault

WONDER LAKE, IL — A Wonder Lake man has been found guilty of felony criminal sexual assault and was sentenced to six years in the Illinois Department of Corrections by McHenry County Judge Michael Coppedge, Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announced in a news release from the state's attorney's office. Randy Peterson, 57, was sentenced as part of a negotiated plea, and will have to register as a sex offender for life, according to the news release.

Detective Thomas Ferraro of the Wonder Lake Police Department investigated the case, and it was prosecuted by Susanne Groebner of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s office, the news release said.
