1 Fatally Shot In Crestwood Parking Lot: UPDATED

CRESTWOOD, IL — A man was fatally shot Tuesday afternoon after he was shot in a parking lot in Crestwood, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner.

The shooting happened around 3 p.m. at Mavis Tires and Brakes, near Rivercrest Drive and Cicero Avenue. The man was fatally shot in the parking lot. No suspects are in custody.

Employees told Patch that everyone in the tire shop was safe.

A police source said officers were performing CPR on the wounded man before he was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
