Mt. Greenwood Neighbors Rally Around Family Of Tom Durkin, Who Died In Car Crash: GoFundMe
A GoFundMe campaign has been created for Mt. Greenwood resident, Tom Durkin, 41, who died unexpectedly, for his wife and three children.
CHICAGO — The Mount Greenwood neighborhood is rallying around the family of a young dad who died in a car crash. Tom Durkin, 41, was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son and brother, and one-of-a-kind friend. His unexpected death has left the Mount Greenwood neighborhood stunned.
A Go Fund Me campaign has been established for his wife, Rachel, and their three children, Laney (8th grade), Tommy (7th grade), and Kenzie (4th grade).
“Tom built his legacy on the South Side as the family guy, a selfless guy who was always helping someone out or lighting up the room with his smile and music.
“We know everything he did was for Rachel and the kids, and we feel the best way to honor him in this loss is to ensure Rachel and the kids are taken care of while they worry about healing as a family. All funds donated here will go directly to Rachel, Laney, Tommy, and Kenzie.”
The campaign is being organized by friends of Tom and Rachel. To make a donation, visit In Loving Memory of Tom Durkin.
