2 Men Fatally Shot In Posen Sports Bar Parking Lot: Officials

POSEN, IL — Two men were shot and killed at a Posen sports bar early Sunday but police have yet to release many details about the incident other than to say that they believe it is an isolated incident.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office announced Tuesday that it had ruled the deaths of a 39-year-old and a 46-year-old man a homicide stemming from an incident that took place at Hero's Sports Bar in the 14300 block of Western Avenue in Posen.

Posen Police said on social media early Sunday morning that they were at the scene of a shooting incident in the parking lot of Hero's Sports Bar but did not offer many more details. Police have not provided any more updates on the shooting since.

The Medical Examiner's Office said on Tuesday that the 39-year-old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds and that the 46-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. Officials said not release the names of those who were killed.

Posen Police did not immediately return an email seeking comment on the status of the investigation.
