2024 Eisenhower High School Football Schedule Released

BLUE ISLAND, IL — High school football players will be taking to the gridiron as practices can officially start on Aug. 12.

A nine-game regular season, released Thursday, runs through the end of October, before culminating with the Illinois High School Association Football State Finals (November 29 to 30) at Hancock Stadium on the campus of Illinois State University in Normal. The IHSA will be celebrating its 50th state championship games.

The Illinois High School Association, in partnership with Max Preps, recently announced schedules for the varsity teams. In Palos Heights , fans will especially be keeping tabs on the local teams at Shepard and Stagg high schools, as well as the area Catholic high schools.

This fall, Dwight D. Eisenhower High School will be joined in the South Suburban Conference Red by Oak Lawn, Richards (Oak Lawn), Reavis (Burbank), Argo (Summit) and Evergreen Park high schools.

Vincent Holmesi returns as the head coach of the varsity Cardinals football team, which finished the 2023 season with a 7-4 overall record in the South Suburban Red Conference.

Locally, Eisenhower’s regular season begins at home Aug. 30 when the Cardinals face the Lincoln Way-West Warriors. Kickoff is at 6:30 p.m.
