Alsip-Crestwood Dangerous Wind Chills: School Closures For Tuesday

ALSIP-CRESTWOOD, IL — Alsip and Crestwood are under a wind chill warning until noon Tuesday, and a wind chill advisory until 9 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Service, dangerously cold wind winds of 25 to 40 below zero are expected during the wind chill warning. The lowest wind chills will be at night and during the morning.

With the cold, some schools in Alsip-Crestwood have announced closures or e-learning days for Tuesday, including:

• Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School (Chicago) - e-LEarning
• Marist High School (Chicago) - “Asynchronous learning day;” students are to check Canvas for assignments. Teachers are available via email during the time of their class period for questions.)
• Brother Rice High School (Chicago) - e-Learning
• St. Laurence High School (Burbank) - e-Learning
