Back To School: Alsip, Hazelgreen, Oak Lawn Dist. 126 School Calendar 2025-2026

ALSIP, IL — Students in Alsip-Hazelgreen-Oak Lawn Dist. 126 head back to school this month, and back-to-school planning has already begun in Dist. 126 for the 2025-2026 academic school year, with calendars available to help parents prepare their children for a smooth transition into the new school year.

The first day of school for grades K-8 is Aug. 20 with the Early Childhood Center starting Aug. 21.

Some dates are subject to change during the school year. We also suggest that you check the Dist. 126 calendar, or your child’s school (Hazelgreen, Lane, Stony Creek Prarie Junior High and the ECC) for late starts, early dismissals, exams, open houses, athletic and school events, as well as your child's school.
